Glutathione or L-glutathione (from the chemical name γ-L-glutamyl-L-cysteinylglycine) is an endogenous cellular antioxidant that is produced by the body from the three amino acids glutamine, glycine and cysteine. The tripeptide glutathione acts as a free radical scavenger, protects the brain and nerves and prevents the peroxidation of lipids. Oxidative stress caused by cellular glutathione deficiency is one of the main factors of premature cellular aging and can lead to countless systemic symptoms. Not only is glutathione a powerful antioxidant, it also reactivates other important antioxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin E and alpha lipoic acid, which is why glutathione is often referred to as the “master antioxidant”. Glutathione also plays a central role in detoxification.

Daily dose: 1 capsule contains 250 mg glutathione and 12 mg vitamin E (= 100% NRV),
